When planning your arrival at the airport, please ensure you allow enough time to check in. At most of our ports you can check in at any time on the day of travel. However, some regional airports only open 90 minutes prior to the scheduled flight time, so to check opening times with the port you’re flying from, search airport information.

• Check-in commences 60 minutes prior to departure for the first flight of the day. If you are connecting to an international service after your domestic flight, we recommend that you are checked in 60 minutes before your domestic flight to complete immigration requirements.

You may not check-in for an international flight earlier than the times specified below on the day of travel. International check-in commences at the following times:

    Flights to and from Samoa: at least 2 hours prior to departure.
    If you are travelling in a large group or require special assistance we recommend that you arrive at least 120 minutes prior to departure.

 
    All other international flights from Australia and New Zealand: 
          at least 90 minutes prior to departure.
    90 minutes – Check-in at least 90 minutes prior to departure time
    30 minutes – Check-in closes 30 minutes prior to departure time
    30 minutes – Boarding commences 30 minutes prior to departure time
